I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at IBM in Jan 2020
Interview
Introduction call w recruiter;
Initial call w managers;
IBM Cognitive Ability Assessment;
Final call w management;
Between each of the calls there was literally weeks of time, this is not normal.
For a company that prouds on processes, has a huge team and a streamlined hiring procedure like IBM, waiting weeks for an answer makes me wonder about it even before starting to work for them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Standard questions, nothing serious:
- Describe achievements;
- Tell us about a failure in your career and how you handled it;
- Why do you want this job.
The worst interviewer superiority complex I have experienced with. I do have an extensive experience and certifications that aligns to this role, yet he treated me with no respect. He create questions with ambiguous, confusing structure, wherein there is no relational context for you to answer it. Even you having to give a follow up question with clarity, he will just skips the question if you do so. I am glad that I have been rejected to that kind of department.

Question 1
Technical questions that are focused with AWS services and ways to communicate to its services
Good process, a few technicals and behavioral interviews. I was unprepared so I struggled on them, but I think with good preparation there should be no issue in getting through the first technical round at least.
