I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Infosys (Bhopal) in Feb 2010
Interview
First there is a written exams which basically tests aptitude. Its similar to CAT paper but its much simpler. There are vocab, quant, comprehension questions, analytical reasoning.
After that there is an HR round. Its not technical though you may get technical questions. Some people were asked about their hobbies and where do they belong. I was asked some GK questions such MP from my place and also about my project. The particularly test the communication skill. Be confident and you can get through.
Multiple rounds including face to face and aptitude depending on the role type and resume and project related questions were asked with focus on technical concepts including data structures and algorithms
The recruitment process started with an online assessment that included aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, and programming questions. Candidates who cleared the assessment were invited for a technical and HR interview. The interview lasted around 30 minutes and focused on Java fundamentals, projects mentioned in the resume, OOP concepts, certifications, and basic HR questions. The interviewers were friendly and gave sufficient time to answer.
Basics aptitude and basic oops programing first round is aptitude round and second round will be technical and Hr round for freshers. It was very good experience and easy to crack
