I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Intact (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2023
Interview
Received a call from HR Discussed by resume and skills Had two openings but after speaking placed me with the IT side Scheduled interview where I met with HR and Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager asked most of the questions and at times when I was answering he went off camera. He described the role which essentially was a project manager role with a ba salary. I didn’t get the offer. HR advised two days later that they were looking for someone with a bit more technical experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I think I was asked about 10-15 questions, a lot more technical questions rather than behavioral questions. Started off by giving me two mins to to talk about my resume from my first role and then 3 minutes hiring manager wanted me to spend discussing my current role. Give me an architecture plan of your current role. Basically he wanted a blue print of my day to day activities at my current job. Describe a release strategy that you were involved in. Based on all the projects, you’ve worked on your entire career, provide me with a list of documents that you’ve worked on. Asked me about how I estimate a project! What do I look for in a manager? What demotivates you? How do you measure success ? After this HR asked me to describe my understanding of the role.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Intact (Montréal-Est, QC) in Jan 2021
Interview
There was three interviews. There was one with a direct manager, one with another level and one with the procurement director. Lot of time lost. And their hiring portal failed to work properly.
