I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at International Rescue Committee (Sacramento, CA) in Nov 2019
Interview
Phone interview was with the volunteer coordinator's intern. I was asked general interview questions along with some in regards to my understanding of refugees. Second interview was in person with the Community Engagement Manager. This interview was less conventional as we had a great dialogue on ideas for projects during the interview and past experiences that brought me to the organization.

My interview experience was both challenging and rewarding. The panel asked thoughtful questions about my background, interests, and future goals. Interview
2 rounds, both behavioral, very straightforward and nothing surprising. Be your true self and have a passion for NGO is the key, otherwise you wouldn't enjoy the work even if you got in .
