I applied online. I interviewed at International Rescue Committee (Londres, Inglaterra) in Feb 2023
Interview
I was interviewed in the IRC UK online. I had unexpected technical issues during the interview which made me a bit anxious. However, one of the interviewers 'Project Manager' was just rude. Her attitude put me off and made me more anxious because she acted like she couldn't be bothered. She was very blunt and to be honest just intimidating. She also showed clearly that she was frustrated with me having to restart the meeting twice. The other interviewer, who's also a 'Refugee Integration Officer' helping Afghan refugees was friendly and sounded more compassionate and understanding. The way she asked questions was kinder and more welcoming than the other interviewer. The interview was basic. I was just anxious because of the technical issues and the Interviewer (project manager) made me more anxious for the rest of the interview. I have gone through many interviews which made me able to tell whether the interviewer is friendly, meaning someone you could see yourself working with and tolerating, or they just want to get it done with and have an attitude. Unfortunately, the IRC UK was the latter.

The process was very straightforward and I worked with multiple stakeholders in the process. I had an initial HR interview, followed by the hiring manager and a few peers. The questions focused on a combination of both experience/skills as well as fit for the role/team.
