Technical interview was pretty easy, with a focus on the resume and past experiences. A few questions were asked about very basic data structures and the programming language of your choice. No algorithm questions were asked.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Glasgow, Escocia) in Nov 2018
Interview
2 weeks after applying I was given an online coding challenge with two fairly easy coding questions and some video responses. 5 days later I was invited to an onsite interview which had 3 hour-long parts: technical, group, and competency. The group part was strange and I found it a bit weird having to argue with the other candidates. The weird bit was that you were given an opinion that you had to argue for rather than what you actually thought was the best course of action.
It was a not a very technical interview at all. Mostly focused on getting to know what we have experienced and also how we work in a team a make decisions given scenarios, which leads me to the fact that the group exercise was the toughest part for me and everyone I talked to.
Overall, the other two parts (technical and competency) were extremely enjoyable, and I feel like both me and the interviewers would willingly just continue the conversation.
