I was called to do a phone screen with HR at which point I was asked to come in for a face to face interview with the hiring manager. The interview went well and I was told that I would hear something within a week to see if they wanted me to come in for a 2nd interview. I didn't hear anything within that timeframe. After emailing the hiring manager, she responded that HR would be setting up a timeslot for a 2nd interview. I went in for the 2nd interview which was with the same hiring manager and her manager. The entire interview seemed to focus on how overqualified I was for this position. Since I presume that they had read my resume when I applied, I was confused as to why this didn't come up until the 2nd interview. I was again told that they would let me know something within a week. Again, that didn't happen. An email to the hiring manager and to HR went completely ignored and unanswered. It was completely unprofessional. After coming in for two face to face interviews, common courtesy would have been to send me a "No thank you" email.
