Three rounds of interviews: 1st, phone call with corporate recruiter. 2nd, conference call with potential managers. Third, in-person interview with the managers. A closed-book technical exam was a part of the in-person interview. I was later told that the exam would not be graded in detail and was designed to validate the expertise detailed in the submitted resume. I was ultimately sent an offer and accepted. The entire process took nearly 2 months, which I was told was not atypical for a large company such as JCI.
