I applied online. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Burbank, CA) in Apr 2013
Interview
I was contacted by phone and asked if it was a good time to talk. I said yes, not expecting to be interviewed on the spot without being given fair warning or time to prepare.
The caller then proceeded to ask me questions that were, frankly, outdated and somewhat ridiculous. This person was obviously reading questions from a list and did not seem to have my resume anywhere near her. Having someone like that be in charge of reaching out to potential employees was a huge red flag.
I've since gone on a couple more interviews with other companies and true professionals who know what they're doing and have breathed a huge sigh of relief!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"What are your strengths and weaknesses?" I thought people stopped asking that in the 80s when they realized how dumb it was. I've interviewed quite a few people myself and have never asked that - and no one else has asked me that.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Oakland, CA) in Apr 2013
Interview
The recruiter contacted me 3 weeks after I applied for this position. Right of the bat, she asked my desired salary range and why I want to work for KP. The hiring managers requested a phone interview 4 weeks later and then 2 face to face interviews.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What is the one thing you absolutely cannot stand?
Lots of questions regarding meeting deadlines and how you handle multiple deadlines. Be prepared to be asked multiple times by different individuals. The panel are all very friendly and approachable. Be honest and sincere with your answers though.
