Kaiser Permanente interview questions

I sent in my resume in response to a posting on their internal job board. I got a call from the recruiter within 1about a week. We had a really good conversation (45 minutes or so). He told me during that conversation that the hiring manager had already seen my resume and asked him to screen me. A few days later I got an email to set up an interview time. I had the interview with the hiring manager about a week later. Again, the conversation went well (no unusual questions). She said she was interviewing more candidates, but they would get back to me. I sent a thank you note, then followed up after a week, after two weeks, and again after 4 weeks. Finally, the recruiter sent me a note back telling me they were moving forward with other candidates. Seems sort of unprofessional that they didn't proactively tell me that I was no longer under consideration, but I had to keep following up with them.
