I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger (Savannah, GA) in Jun 2022
Interview
Nothing was much of a surprise. Easy interview process and prompt response from HR. Just hired on the spot due to the need for additional employee - background check, drug test, and training was streamlined
The process took 12 months. I interviewed at Kroger (Cincinnati, OH)
Interview
I’ve never experienced a more drawn-out or poorly managed interview process. I first applied for the role over a year ago. The hiring manager reached out and scheduled an interview, only to cancel after realizing I wouldn’t graduate for another two months since they “needed to fill the role immediately.”
About six weeks later, I was contacted again because the position was still unfilled. I went through multiple steps — a one-on-one interview, a panel personality assessment, and an Excel assessment. I was told to expect a decision in about a month, but the timeline kept getting pushed back for nearly three months before the company announced the hiring process was paused indefinitely.
Six months later, the recruiter reached out again for new openings that supposedly fit my profile. Unfortunately, the original hiring manager had lost my file, so I had to redo all the assessments and interviews. After completing everything again, I was told to expect a decision in about a month — which, once more, was delayed several times before the process was paused yet again.
In total, I invested nearly a year of effort without ever receiving a clear decision or closure. It was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience that left me questioning how the company manages internal communication and candidate respect.

After the initial application I was contacted after 1 day and set up the interview. It consisted of 3 easy questions and they gave me the job on the spot
