I was impressed with the professionalism and organization of the process. Questions were well designed and thoughtful. Interviewers were knowledgeable, sharp, and displayed a deep understanding of the subject matter.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at MSCI
Interview
4 rounds, straightforward conversations about previous experience, what the role entails, and what I could bring to the role. Recruiter wanted me to disclose all other offers and places I was interviewing, creating a sense of urgency, and kept checking in. Then suddenly silence after my final round of interviews. Despite multiple followups with recruiter, ended up being ghosted after final round. Clearly this is a regular occursnce looking at the other posts here, as is MSCI’s standard response to these reviews stating that this falls short of their expectations and that every candidate deserves feedback. While the job and team seemed great, the interview process and culture was disappointing, and frankly usury.
Everyone was very friendly. Interviews were casual, conversational, and very comfortable. Process took a while - about 1.5 months from application to offer. Several rounds of interviews (5 total: hr screener, hiring manager, 2 x executive director interviews, managing director interview). HR was very helpful and responsive throughout the process.
