I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Marsh in Oct 2023
Interview
I had three interviews over the course of three weeks. The first was a screening call with HR, which lasted around 20 minutes. The questions were fairly routine and basic (experience, pay expectations, etc.). The second was a video call with a team member; it was an extremely odd conversation, as the interviewer didn't ask me many questions. The employee spoke around 90% of the time, and primarily talked about themselves and their job. One week later, I had an in-person interview at their office with two higher-ups. They were very professional, and we had good rapport.
However, the post-interview process was abysmal. The hiring manager did not clearly communicate next steps with me, and I had to email them several times over the course of two months for updates. My third, in-person interview took place in mid-October. At first, the hiring manager said they'd provide a response within 2 weeks, but I just received the rejection notice the second week of December. Very messy, disorganized, and unprofessional.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The one thing that all three interviewers asked me was, "how much experience do you have with Microsoft Excel?" (They brought up Excel quite a bit, which was surprising. I thought a multi-billion dollar corporation would have more sophisticated proprietary software than Excel.)
I applied online. I interviewed at Marsh (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2020
Interview
Initial interview with a recruiter. Second interview with two of the management team. The recruiter no call/no showed our initial interview. I didn't hear back with a reason or a reschedule attempt for 3 days.
