I applied online. I interviewed at Meta in Nov 2020
Interview
Hiring manager asked basic question about the carrier and then make an appointment for the coding interview.
It was enough time to prepare.
Very friendly approach and interview process.
Unfortunately, coding wasn't successful
I had a phone screen and simple coding exercises. I easily completed them but got a rejection. Very poor experience.
The process in general is too subjective and interviewers can decline for any reason they decide even if you aced the interview.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Seattle, WA) in Oct 2021
Interview
Had a call with a recruiter who asked what technologies Facebook has that interested me and why. Moved on to a tech screen which went well.
I was told I would be moving on to the next step - a virtual interview loop, and was being transferred over to the next person. I was never contacted further. I pinged after a week to ensure I had not missed anything and was told I would be contacted. Nothing further materialized.
