I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Philadelphia, PA)
Interview
Submitted application on campus, went through first round interview on campus and then second round at MSIM offices. Everybody was nice and very professional. The interview was not technical but based more upon fit. They took a while to get back with the results unfortunately (over three weeks) which was a little long.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Pune) in Sep 2013
Interview
They took a written test which consisted of two papers.Paper 1 had 2 sections-computer fundamentals and aptitude.Paper 2 had technical questions based on C/C++/Java.we could choose any of them. The aptitude cum technical test was good and had standard questions which were moderately difficult. The time duration was 90 minutes.
After the written test,4 students were selected me being one of them. The next process was a pool one i.e students from various colleges had come together for further processes.
The next step was a technical test.In this, shortlisted students were given 5 programming questions which had to be solved on paper in any comfortable programming language.I chose 'C'. The duration of the test was 1 hour.It was not an elimination round.
The technical test was followed by a technical interview which everyone had to face.We were asked to explain the codes we had written and and there was a discussion with the interviewer on any favorite subject of the candidate. After this round, few people were shortlisted. Then, they had an another technical interview,a group activity and an HR interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The Technical question of the first round were a bit tricky and we had very less time to solve them.In the technical interview,i was asked a question about how file gets transferred from a Windows machine to a Linux machine which i thought was a bit difficult for me.
