I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley in Jun 2022
Interview
Round 1 was with a Software Engineer. It was mostly about OOP and SOLID principles.
Round 2 was with a manager. He sounded very dumb and had no idea about what to ask or even know the answers when given.
The recruiters are awful. They never schedule interviews, ghost and are extremely rude. I was never told what is expected in the interview, when it will be scheduled or even pick up any calls if you want to tell them any issue with interview invite.
The interviewers are very arrogant and inexperienced. They somehow got into this company but don't even know basics. I was asked the difference between REST APIs and microservices. He had no idea what Azure functions are but asked me to "code" it. When I did, he had no clue what I had written or how it works.
I am amazed what kind of people are interviewing and the recruiters are possibly the worst in the industry.
Will never give an interview here again.

Interview was very friendly. He asked my interest, my achievement, which project do you think is the most difficult one and how will you tackle that. How much you know about Finance.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
problem was on hierarchy print based on a string. There are some employee manager relationship and based on input string , we have to print complete hierarchy.
For e.g.
Ajay-> Ramesh
Deepesh-> Animesh
Mohan->Ajay
Rahul-> Mohan
Input: Rahul
Output: Rahul->Mohan->Ajay->Ramesh

Interview
I had four technical rounds and one hr round.
First round: Interviewed with manager of the team, discussed current projects, a bit of Java questions and general CV questions.
Second round: General Java questions and implemented a coding algo question.
Third round: Implemented two Java algo questions, both are not too difficult.
Fourth round: Interviewed with Global head of team, discussed aspirations for the role, a bit on financial knowledge and CI/CD.
HR round: Aspirations for the role, general CV question and Salary expectation.
About a week later received a call from HR for the offer, but they can’t meet my expectation and asked if I have flexibility to adjust. I clearly deliver my expectation before the interview so I said no. After several rounds of negotiations, they no only didn’t meet my expectation, but also didn’t offer any increment to me. They said I am already paid fairly even though I revealed another offer that paid a lot more than my current salary a few months back.
I am quite disappointed because I devoted a lot of time into the process. I also clearly delivered my expectation before any interviews. It is a waste of everyone’s time to even begin the process where in the end they can’t meet my expectation.
