The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in Oct 2010
Interview
Consisted of a 30 minute behavioral interview. Asked questions based on resume, then some other behavioral questions. It was a relatively easy process. Never heard back from them, but got in contact with the interviewer and he mentioned that I was most likely on some kind of reserve list. Overall, it was an average experience.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
If you had 10,000 dollars, what would you invest in?
Hirevue consisted of three questions. It was not terrible because you had unlimited time between each question. I did not get to the in-person interview round so I can't speak on that.
I applied online. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in Sep 2021
Interview
Very easy and thorough; make sure you have your behavioral skills knocked down, technical knowledge is not as important in PWM as they may be in IB. Be yourself, stay straight and you should be fine. Confidence!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself (2-3 minute answer expected)
Had one phone screen, which was behavioral. Then, two in person interviews in NYC, which were technical/behavioral. The MDs and analysts were looking for a strong understanding of the markets, a curiosity in finance and a culture fit with the team and the firm.
