I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Londres, Inglaterra) in Feb 2012
Interview
Applied for One-Year Placement in Operations, the process consitst of one telephone interview (purely competency based, the interviewer is nice, tries to chill you out and build rapport, make it a bit informal) and then there is an asessment centre (45 min grop exercise, 2 * 40 min competency based interviews). The first interview during the asessment centre focuses on your general competencies, the second one docuses on the competencies required for the division you applied to).
The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in Oct 2011
Interview
Asked questions such as why morgan, what do you think operations is, what is one of your weaknesses, name a times you had a conflict when working in a group and how the issue was resolved, and then just basic question about your resume and past job experiences
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What was one time that you encountered an issue while group on a group activity and how was the issue resolved
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Baltimore, MD) in May 2011
Interview
I interviewed for the Operations Analyst position in December of last year. The interview was relatively easy. It consisted of an on-campus interview on-site and another 2 1:1 interviews before they split us up into a team to work with legos. The puropose of the exercise was to see how we would as a team. They tell you to remember where everythnig goes and you only have about thirty seconds to rememberize where all the lego peices go. The trick is to come up with a plan to build your own model and your own idea. Esentially they want creativity and teamwork. Morgan Stanley is a great company although they are beginnig a series of upcoming layoffs, but the feedback between HR takes way too much time. I have heard this from a number of other people. Most people take other offers by the time the process concludes because the delay is too long.
