I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Montreal, QC) in Nov 2016
Interview
The first step is a phone interview, with mostly technical questions.
The interviewer at this stage seemed very satisfied with his working conditions and really liked his job.
For the second stage the interviewers condescending and vaguely insulting.
The interview was difficult with mostly whiteboard questions on algorithms.
It is probably easier to pass such an interview right after university rather than after many years of work experience.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in May 2016
Interview
There was a 20 minute phone screen with the manager, then there was a 1:1 meeting with just the manager. He never mentioned that the project was just for show, and that neither he nor his boss didn't actually care if the project ever succeeded. The senior folks gave up and left after a year. Note: This is multiple architects - each with 20+ years of experience - as consultants - all *simultaneously* walking away from a high-paying gig in frustration because the managers refused to manage their project
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Montreal, QC) in Jun 2015
