I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Munich Re (Dublín, Dublín) in May 2020
Interview
Applied directly to HR's inbox and received a call in 2 days. Interview was scheduled in another 5 days. The QA Manager and a Senior software developer was in the call. QA Manager explained me about the job and all. Since it was a call things were not very audible. Then the software engineer asked a couple of questions from java.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Munich Re (München, Bavaria) in Jan 2020
Interview
applied online to Munich office, sent a psychometric test the next day - 3 parts (mailbox exercise, personality test, patterns)
then had 2x in-person interviews then an assessment centre
the first in-person interview was more technical, the second one was more about fit with the general team - both interviews went for about an hour/90 mins at most
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
what motivates you?
why do you like our company?
describe a time you had to deal with conflict in the workplace?
describe when you had to persuade someone who was stubborn?
what would your friends say are your strengths/weaknesses?
The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Munich Re (Londres, Inglaterra)
Interview
Initial screening by HR, followed up by several face to face interviews with different members of the team. 3 interviews in all.
Completely unprofessional throughout the process both in delivery and organisation. Very off-putting from a client perspective.
Current staff have told me it's akin to a broken home having to get different factions of the Munich Re family under one roof and to beware as divisions have already appeared.
