I was contacted by a recruiting agent for Lead developer opening. He said there would be one introductory telephonic and since you are applying for the senior role next f2f rounds would be done on weekdays only. After my denial for weekdays, he said OYO is ready for the weekend too.
Once I reached OYO I saw multiple candidates (walk-in) for different roles giving written exams for junior roles. I told HR that I'm for a senior role and she took me for the f2f round.
A guy who introduced himself as an architect came in and asked me to describe my role and project. I gave him sufficient details of current and past project (OYO competitor) with various pointers where I was hoping he'll ask me to for more details. I explained to him how in phases we stepped up our performance and what architectural changes we'll do further. In the end, he asked me that apart from the job do I have any entrepreneur stint, to which I showed him one of my in-progress site.
During the whole interview process, he looked happy with my work (kept saying cool, nice, this is great... ) and no probing on any of my technical skill was done. I was surprised on what kind of interview is going on because no DS, Quiz or anything else was asked.
After interview once HR came in and said we're done for the day I asked her if this is what you call an interview why do call people in office because this could have been done on the phone itself.
I am sure it was total FAKE! FAKE! FAKE! process.
