The interview process (Recruitment drive) held at Oyo Rooms, Gurgaon office. Highly dissatisfied with the HR team of OYO. Poor management and delayed unsatisfactory responses post selection.
The interview process was fairly managed (but they did not provide for the travel arrangements) .
I was called for the drive around 10 days before the date. There were total 5 rounds (1 coding + 4 interviews)
Round1: 2 DP problems (moderate level matrix DP)
Round 2: Technical Interview - 2 Programming problems were asked. Had to write working code on paper. Moderate level problems.
Round 3: Technical Interview - OO Design round + 1 Programming problem (GFG minimum-number-platforms-required-railwaybus-station) . Then they slightly modified the problem. Fairly easy tweak. General OS, DB questions. Overall a good round.
Round 4: Hiring manager Round (Resume and project discussions, cultural fit + behavioral ques)
Round 5: Technical (Simple System design ques , Java related ques, General discussions)
Each round was approx an hour long. After 1 week, i got a email and a call saying that i have been selected.
The problem began after that, The HR team of OYO (or atleast the one i was connected with was highly irresponsible). I was asked to provide a lot of documents , and after salary discussions, i did not get any word from their side for more than a month. After that when i enquired about the status of offer letter, I was told that we will not be able to give you an offer and they said that we must have already told you that. They did not even bother to inform me about this. Even after that, i did not get any satisfactory response from their end.
Oyo really needs to improve its HR policies and management regarding recruitment. If a candidate is spending so much time to interview with the company, Company also has some responsibility towards keeping the candidates updated with the status on proper time.
