Oracle Account Executive interview questions

I interviewed for a sales position in the MA location. My initial conversation with the internal recruiter went well and I progressed to speaking with my would-be manager. We seem to hit off well, but in the next round of speaking with his manager...the situation went down-hill rather quickly. This Senior Manager has never been in a sales position his entire career and therefore had no experience. He asked awful questions related to his military background and decided that I wasn't a fit for the team. Clear example of someone that can possibly lead, but has no clue on doing the actual job.
