I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PayPal (Chennai) in Feb 2021
Interview
First round was a telephonic interview coding round. Basic problems in array and datastructures were asked along with time complexity.
Interviewer also got an overview of the current role, tech stack etc. Interviewer was positive about the feedback and said there would be couple of other rounds and hopefully, he'll meet me in the upcoming rounds. I was positive about the whole process and was awaiting HR response. It was one week since the first round and I reached out to the HR. HR said that she never received a feedback and she'll get back. Another 10days went by and no updates. I again reached out and in the next 10mins, I received a rejection mail, that too without a feedback. This was so weird! I went ahead and asked for the feedback since I was positive about the results and the HR never came back!
Experience round 2 with Paypal:
HR sends a hackerearth link to takeup the test. After trying out the test ENV, I start my actual test and realize that there were no languages listed except JAVA in the actual original test ENV. On reaching out to the HR, he said this has happened before and he would come back after fixing this. There he goes, never did I get any response.
The entire hiring process can be professional. This has created a bad mindset for me and I'm going to think through twice thrice before taking up an interview with Paypal in the future

Interview
Had 1st round with senior manager and followed by 2 rounds of technical interview. Despite of giving correct answers for all the questions, They took 2 weeks to say that I got rejected without telling me any reason. This is something they have decided before even taking interview I believe. Not sure why they have conducted interview simply to reject.
