Got an interview with an in-house recruiter which was a very simple call about my prior experience and what I was looking for in my future career. It was easy. Then got bounced to another recruiter that setup an interview with the Lead Software Engineer of the department in which I had hoped to be employed.
Wow, it seemed like she was talking from a pay phone in the middle of a sandstorm in the desert, and she had an incredibly thick accent so it was very hard for us to communicate in the first place. Interview was pretty rough and after a whole slew of misunderstandings of what she wanted, she gave up (within 15 minutes) and told me that she would not move forward with me even if HR forced her. Ouch, kind of unprofessional but I guess it was that bad. Got a Dear John letter a week later, which I absolutely expected.
