I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Power Home Remodeling (Dallas, TX) in Jan 2024
Interview
I chose to wait a few weeks before writing this review.
The initial interview process was very informative and helpful in the beginning. I spoke with 3 different gentlemen and they appeared to be excited about the potential of me working for their company. I was also excited because they told me they were a Veteran friendly organization and that they had various initiatives for veterans within their company and that I could volunteer to help with said initiatives.
I attended the 3rd interview with the VP and I have no idea what happened. The interview seemed to go as good as any other interview where I've been offered a position. There is absolutely NO WAY I wasn't qualified for the role I applied for. But even if not, the gentlemen who was also a Veteran wouldn't even respond to my calls or texts afterwards, and neither did the recruiter. I understand they don't have to say anything, but we had a pretty in depth conversation about our stories and the fact that this company is supposedly all about veterans.
It doesn't matter that I didn't get an offer, it was how they treated me after the fact. We spoke and sent multiple text messages leading up to the final interview and I was excited about the potential of working for this company. I still have no idea why I wasn't chosen, although the guy I had spoken with who was also a Veteran made it seem like the probability for an offer was pretty high. Again, I'm ok with them not choosing me, but I was confused on what went wrong and that information is helpful especially when you're hunting for employment. They completely ghosted me. I did receive a generic "thanks but no thanks" email, but it would have been nice to know why? This is one of those companies that is always hiring so I definitely felt some type of way.
This was not a "Veteran friendly" experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Power Home Remodeling (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2020
Interview
Interviewed by the VP of the Chicago location. They wanted to see if I had relevant experience. They mention it's a top place to work. Starts out with door to door sales.

Phone Call Recruiter: CAUTION ⚠️ this company is not hiring sales people that are smart. They are hiring the weak, or extremely entry level. Probably because the bad reviews are a window into what's really happening at this company. If your entry level, looking to break ground, don't let these guys over work you with little to no pay.
