I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PwC in Nov 2011
Interview
Started with a campus interview then was invited to the office.
Office Interview started with presentation about the company then split off with our office "buddy" for interviews. First one was with a manager, just typical questions, "how do you work in a group setting?" "how do you balance work, school, and your extracurriculars?" "Why do you think training is so important?" Very relaxed, just getting to know you.
BE PREPARED FOR THE PARTNER INTERVIEW. It was a totally different experience. A lot more formal and technical. Know your stuff about the company and why you want to work in that specific department. It was pretty intense. Really, make yourself stand out; do some soul searching and find out what you can bring to the table that NOBODY else can. Don't just ask the common questions, use what you researched and build on that, ie "I read that PwC did this and that, how would I get involved with this and that to further my career and reach my goals?"
Offered the Internship before I left the office. Make a lasting impression on the people you interview with folks.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PwC (New York, NY) in Nov 2011
Interview
Got through the first round on campus interview, then they invited me for an office visit, aka "Superday". Start the day around 8:30am, you meet all the interviewees that day, follow by a presentation and a panel discussion (try to ask at least one GOOD question). Then you get assigned to a first year associate that will take you to all your interviews. I interviewed with a manager, a director, and a partner. Everyone was extremely friendly, it was more of a conversation rather than an interview. They want to see if you can hold a decent conversation. Lastly, the first year associate will take you to a group lunch with the other interviewees. I got a call from the partner I interviewed a couple hours later offering me the position.

Interview
I was offered a first round on campus interview with PwC after I applied through my campus career center. The interviewer was really nice and tried to make you feel comfortable. The interviewer initially gives you a brief intro about his/her background before asking you questions. My interview was only 20 minutes, and the only question he asked me was to tell him 3 things about myself. And I had a few minutes left to ask him questions. I didn't receive an offer for second rounds though. I could have failed the interview because I lacked interviewing experience...but the interviewer was definitely not intimidating.
