RSM interview questions

I interviewed at RSM, initially it was a Phone call with a HR, later it was with an associate who know well about the field, the final round was with associate and a director. The interview process was good and though would land a job, but was rejected with an feedback that I belong to different department, which was bit pointless as if I was belonging to different department, it was pointless in attending in person interview for final round as all questions were related to the role. Disappointed but had a good experience overall the panel was good, but the final communication of rejection was done after 2 weeks which made me keep waiting.

The interview process was very long and the communication from the team was not very good. If the interview process is like this I don’t want to know how the company runs things.
