I had an awful experience which I never expected from a peer company towards a Big 4 experienced and achieving candidate. The HR was unprofessional and did not express any honesty or courtesy. Despite it being a referral and an urgent requirement, the HR took two months to get back with a response and schedule the interview (despite multiple follow ups). Also there was a wrong communication about the 1st round being personal when it ended up being fully technical. Of course I revised the audit areas I had worked on but not in a deep context as it was informed that the 2nd round would be technical. Clearly the HR was least bothered about the candidate. Also I had to personally call them to know I didn't advance (when it's their duty to do so) and they tried to defend their mistake without any shame of any sort. Overall the experience was disappointing and it shouldn't happen to another candidate.
