I applied online. I interviewed at Rivian (Seattle, WA) in Mar 2021
Interview
I was contacted by HR first then quickly had a second interview with whom would be my supervisor. However, she received a promotion, events became cumbersome, and I felt like I was interviewing with a totally different firm partially due to the promoted employee.
I was given a case study to complete and had to present to a panel. For the case study's objective, it was extremely ambiguous and misleading after the panel provided their criticism. In hindsight, I dodged a bullet because it appears there are a plethora of moving parts and no definitive goals.

Very smooth. In zoom meeting with other candidates. 90 minutes long. Usually interviewed by one person. Also a group activity right off the bat. You will also meet your recruiter and the supervisor for your department.
