I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Rivian (San Jose, CA)
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me expressing interest in my background and how it fit into multiple roles for the company. Ghosted me after that call. I got multiple offers afterwards including Amazon and Microsoft.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rivian (Bloomington, IL) in Oct 2019
Interview
Long process with multiple rounds. Every individual I dealt with in the process was professional, but it was clear the company is extremely disorganized in terms of hiring strategy. When asking simple critical questions like, "in what city will I be working" "how much travel will there be" I could not get a straight answer. It seemed like the answer to this question had one answer when the process started and a different answer when I went in for the final round interview. At some points in the process I got same day responses and at other points there were week long delays.
Ultimately my biggest take away was that the company lacks a coherent strategy as they rush to assemble new teams.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rivian (Plymouth, MI)
Interview
I was contacted by a Rivian recruiter on LinkedIn. Scheduled a 30min interview with the recruiter to go over the resume. Followed up with a 30 min interview with the hiring manager about my experience.
I was invited for a power day at the HQ. Started off with the tour of the office by the HR, followed by conversation with a team member, manufacturing team member and finally, hiring manager and systems engineer.
Rivian has a negative approach to interviewing process as they stress on the fact that they like firing people.
