smooth and painless through a corporate recruiter who reached out to me early on in my search process. The hiring team asked all the right questions and coached me on what I needed to prepare for during the panel presentation.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Rivian (Normal, IL) in Jan 2021
Interview
First call was a screen with a recruiter, second was a 45min technical interview with a Engineer. He was very intelligent, Had a PHD after I looked him up.
The interview was difficult from a metallurgy and material science and welding engineering perspective, far more difficult than Tesla in my opinion.
But as long as you understand the mechanisms you should be fine. I personally enjoyed finally talking with someone who knows what I'm saying.
