I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Scotiabank in Oct 2014
Interview
3 Stages: Meeting with HR --> Technical Test --> Meeting with Analyst
Make sure you understand your specialization (i.e. Infrastructure), and be prepared to talk about how you can contribute to the team.
Typical HR questions about resume; why you would be a good fit, and how you add value to the team. Questions about past accomplishments. Behavioural based questions are also asked (i.e. describe a time in your past when you faced an issue and how did you resolve it?)
Was ghosted after getting through four rounds of interviews. Reached out a handful of times over the 2 to 3 months since the interview process has began.
Common courtesy is to give a response, especially if you have been through multiple conversations and met with multiple people, even if it is a rejection. The career portal still says “Application Under Consideration.” How rejected candidates are treated shows the level of professionalism of the employees and organization.
