Other Software Developer Intern Interview Reviews for Scotiabank
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Scotiabank (Toronto, ON)
Interview
First round was a phone screen, 1:1 with a recruiter
Second round was a panel based, behavioural + technical interview, separated in 2 sessions with 4 people each, various types of programming languages are involved
Third round is a mini assignment on web dev
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Scotiabank (Toronto, ON) in Aug 2022
Interview
I felt as though there was a lot of miscommunication throughout the interview on their part, but this might of just been limited to my experience with that particular recruiter. I had a total of 3 interviews, 2 assessments and a 15 minute phone call, in the end after my third (yes third) technical interview in the span of 2.5 weeks they wanted to do a last behavioral interview, unfortunately at this point I had already accepted another offer so I kindly declined. The recruiter had mentioned to me (the original recruiter, after my second technical interview it was a different recruiter) that they were offering on average $22-26/hr to students from my particular campus, which to me is quite insane considering most internships I hear about are $30/hr at the minimum, but I guess it's for the "prestige" of their Velocity program. Beats me.
