The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Scotiabank in Apr 2011
Interview
The interview process consisted of both a phone interview and a 1:1 interview. I was contacted by a HR rep for the phone interview, and the phone interview itself took around 1 hr in total. The HR asked many questions, some based on your prior experiences and many are behavioral and situational questions. They prefer you to answer the situational questions with the STAR method, stating situation, the people involved, action and result. One day after the phone interview, I received a call for the 1:1 interview at a branch. The 1:1 interview asked behavioral and situational questions.

Pretty well balanced between formal and informal, keen to understand your goal and explain the company's goal. Pretty clear what they need from you and how they can be part of your growth path. The hr helped to have a better contract as well.
