First round with HR, second is with the team. Shopee is a very fast-paced environment, so good to showcase team-management and time management. The team is quite direct, so no need to fluff too much.
I applied online. I interviewed at Shopee (Kuala Lumpur) in Feb 2022
Interview
4 stages . First is GMAT , second is hr interview, third is case study or case interview and the last stage which is managing director interview . All stages are quite difficult and the most challenging is how you speak right to their heart. Do study about the background of the shopee company and the work life balance there before you decide .
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Shopee (Yakarta) in Jan 2022
Interview
A recruiter messaged me on LinkedIn for an open opportunity on Shopee. Then I was connected to another recruiter the next day that took 30 mins of time on WhatsApp to explain the two unadvertised position in Business Development - Relationship Manager & Business Development (Partnerships). I was asked the basic questions on my previous experiences, and skills as well as the scope of the roles on Shopee and the working culture. The outlook and tone of the interviewer were positive, implying there is a strong chance for me to be recruited to Shopee. However, a week later I got a late update on this and it said the manager won't be moving forward with my application. What I get from this interview session is negative. It implies false hope for a candidate and feels like an HR that is willing to take advantage of candidates for the sake of KPI. I am pretty sure I won't be applying or responding to recruiter messages on Shopee anymore
