I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Shopee (Singapur) in Dec 2021
Interview
I applied for a business development role and went for the interviews. This was after the Shopee "saga" on social media. I have to qualify that I'm of a minority race in Singapore but speak basic/intermediate chinese.
To be fair, the interview process was professional and although I accepted a different offer, I definitely considered Shopee's offer as well. All interviewers offered to address the saga and seemed well trained to conduct a professional and fair interview process.
Round 1 - HR Screening with Jesper was great, and he was very helpful for the entire process
Round 2 - I had 2 round 2s with different team leads, the first lead was 20min late but otherwise fine. The 2nd interview was good, and the team lead + his 2 right hand people seemed sincere and inquisitive.
Round 3 - The group director was on time and direct, and had a clear vision for his team
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Shopee (Manila, ) in Aug 2025
Interview
Interviewed twice for the KAM position in PH, first with the HR second with the line manager. It's been 9 weeks and no feedback at all ever since, and I've been sending 5 follow up emails also. At least let the candidate know if they got rejected thru an email, even if it's auto generated. Very bad experience, really unprofessional.
HR as initial interviewer then once accepted, got interviewed by the hiring manager. Process took a week since I already told the HR that I have an offer from another company. Interview was quick but they'd ask about your soft and hard skills.
