I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Siemens
Interview
I spoke with a recruiter at the involvement fair and was offered an interview for the next day. My interview was with the recruiter who I spoke with and we discussed the program, different assessments of leadership styles and past experiences with leading projects. All in all it was a pretty typical interview.
My only problem was that I was told I would be hearing back (regardless of offer or not) in 3 weeks after the interview and after a month I contacted the recruiter who told me I would be hearing back shortly. I still have not heard back and it has been 10 weeks since the interview. Very unprofessional for such an esteemed company and I was obviously more inclined to explore my other offers.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Siemens in Apr 2010
Interview
The first interview had good questions, and the guy seemed like someone I could work with. The on-site interview was my least pleasant interview ever. The group challenge didn't make any sense. By the end of it, I realized all they wanted us to do was say why Siemens was awesome. It had nothing to do with engineering or problem solving. Then I had to do a series of one-on-one interviews. They were all behavioral questions and they were pretty much the same questions over and over with a different spin. Nothing about the interviews gave me openings to show how perfect I was for the job or how much I knew about the company.
The worst part was when they asked me what salary I was expecting. I mentioned what my friends were getting in my answer, and the interviewer proceeded to tell me that my friends were lying and no entry-level engineer makes that much. The offer I accepted (different global and highly successful company) gave me almost $10,000 higher than the salary I told Siemens.
