I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Dublín, Dublín) in Jul 2021
Interview
I applied through the website and got an email from the recruiter after one day or two with a writing exercise that must be delivered within 48 hours. The recruiter called me after 1 day for a quick phone interview and said I was good to jump to the next stage.
I was interviewed by a Hiring Manager. He asked me 3 questions and then left the remaining time to ask him questions as well.
I heard from the recruiter after one day or two saying that the HM was happy with my interview and that I was in the final round.
The final round is a competency-based interview with 2 managers, 1 TL, and a written assessment.
I had a very positive experience with Slack as they respectfully follow-up in a timely manner and always set your expectations.
The recruiter provided constructive feedback to perform more successful next time. I felt very respected and valued by the whole team.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Slack
Interview
The interview process with Slack was very pleasant, the recruitment team very responsive and clear about outcomes. I heard back within hours of each of my interviews. There are a lot of rounds and the interview format challenges you, but I found it very rewarding and even if I hadn't been successful I would have gained.

What is recent constructive feedback that you have received and how did you apply it?

Interview
Overall the process aligns perfectly to what is mentioned already here in the reviews. Only complaint is the time and effort put towards each round. If you are a viable candidate, a tremendous amount of prep goes into the chronological interview and hours upon hours on the presentation round. You are provided with a 50 page brand guidelines and told to create a presentation from scratch. It just seems like too much time wasted if not offered a position or at least an alternative with all the open positions that seem to be available. People have full time jobs, families etc. An additional 30+ hours to prep for a presentation that goes nowhere is a bit ridiculous.
