I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slack in Nov 2018
Interview
Slack's recruitment team were amazing, very organized and communicative during the entire process. Everyone involved in the interview process, both over the phone, video calls and in person were welcoming, warm and generally easy to interact with. They asked some great and tough questions, always keeping you on your toes. What I loved about Slack is while they did test your skillset to a degree, they were primarily testing you on your personality and whether or not you'd be a fit for their culture.

Question 1
Provide us an example where you needed to adapt to change. How did you adapt, what were the difficult and positive points of this?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2018
Interview
My application was submitted by referral, and I was contacted by a recruiter after a couple of days. We delved into my work history and why I want to work at Slack. Then I had a phone call with my would be manager. I was fast-tracked to catch up with other candidates and immediately brought in for an off-site. There were no trick questions. Just figure out how your experience aligns with the role and how you fit the Slack ethos.
