First step has been a fairly easy telephone interview. After 5 days I was called for the assessment centre where I had to do a group exercise, followed by a presentation on handouts (since there was no computer provided) discussing what I think are the key characteristics of a successful candidate, and a face-to-face interview. The group exercise has been developed around a board of decision makers in the parliament, where everyone got assigned a department out of Education, Health, Safety, Agriculture and Science. The assignment was to negotiate and agree between each other from a total of a million pounds, what % would each department benefit of in the next cash injection, based on case studies.
