The Starbucks barista interview process typically starts with an online application, followed by a brief phone screening or email invite. Then, you're invited to an in-person or virtual interview, often one-on-one with a store manager. Questions focus on customer service experience, teamwork, availability, and your interest in Starbucks. They may also ask situational or behavioral questions to assess how you'd handle busy shifts, difficult customers, or multitasking. The interview is usually casual and friendly, with a focus on cultural fit. If successful, you’ll receive a job offer within a few days, followed by onboarding and barista training.
Received an email asking to schedule an interview for the following week. The interview took place in the store itself, and took about 15 minutes. The questions were pretty average.
First interview went well, just the basic behavioral questions that should be answered using the STAR method. Second interview was less questions but with the district manager. Still waiting to hear back (if they reach out at all).

Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
