I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Colorado Springs, CO) in May 2009
Interview
One person from the service desk interviewed me, one manager interveiwed me. I actually first applied in December 2008. It was my first interview and I had no job experience. They asked me questions like, "Tell me about a time you had to finsih a task and it didn't go as planned. What did you do to solve the problem?" I went blank. Didn't get the job, needless to say.
In May 2009, I re-applied, this time with job experience under my belt and a memory for those deer-in-the-headlights questions and adequate preparation. :-}
In short: Be prepared and tay on your guard.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Riverview, FL) in May 2009
Interview
I applied online and received an email with an interview time. The first interview was a 1 on 1 located in their in store Starbucks. Work on those situational questions because that's all it was! "Tell me about a time when you had to work in a team." "Tell me about a time when you disagreed with your manager." "Tell me about a time when you went above and beyond for a guest." I didn't think I did very well but still moved on to the next step. A second interview was done on the same day with a manager...more situational questions and questions about your past work experience. They let me know right after if I got the job. After that you have 48 hours or so to complete the drug test. The final step was a group orientation including cashier training. After an hour I was checking out guests on my own. Scary but after awhile you'll be a pro!
