Target Cashier interview questions

I applied online and received a phone call two days later. There was an interview over the phone with questions such as: Why do you want to work at Target? and a bunch of questions like "Tell me a time when..." She asked around 10 questions in total. Then she told me about the position of cashier and what was required and asked if I had any previous experience. This would be my first job and I told her that. She was very happy at this remark and said how great of a place Target was for a first job. Lastly, she asked me if I would be willing to persuade people to get the REDcard and of course I said yes. Then she scheduled me for an interview the next day. I had to call a number and do a questionnaire for tax purposes. I was told to arrive early to do a questionnaire on a kiosk and it was just situation questions where they gave you a situation and you chose the best and worst response. I then was taken to the back and sat in the office. An HR lady gave me my application to review and make changes to and I watched a 6 minute video. Make sure you pay attention to this video because you will be asked a question on it. Then I waited some more until the guy who was to interview me was available. He was really nice and explained to me the process and how the interview would work. He only asked like 6 questions (he skipped one because it was my first job and the question asked about experience). Half of them were questions like why do you want to work here? or what did you learn from the video? One of the questions was another "Tell me a time when.." and the last two were situations. Almost everyone on this site posted these. "What would you do if the store was out of the size of shoe for the customer?" and "You scan an item for for 19.99 and the customer is sure that the price was 17.99, what would you do?" Now for the second question people on this site were posting that they would make sure about the price by contacting a manager or another associate. However, in the video they address this problem by taking the customers word and changing the price. It was in the video, so that is how I answered the question. I then waited some more and the HR lady took me into her office and told me I got the job. And that is was a permanent position, and not seasonal like I thought. The pay is $7.50 and I have to pass a drug test within 24 hours. I literally just got done with the interviews. It only took about an hour and she told me she would contact me when I was cleared and they had a date set for orientation.

The interview was really easy. All the questions they asked me are on this website. I applied for the job online and a week or 2 later they called me for a phone interview. Then after the phone interview i had to call a number for their taxes. Then an hour later i received a call for a second interview. When i got there i had to answer about 20 questions on the computer. The questions were the same as the questions they asked on the application. After that i had to watch a 2 min video, which i was later asked what did i learn from the video. Then I interviewed by a team lead he asked the same questions that were asked in the phone interview plus he wanted to know about my work experience and he asked some scenario questions. After that interview i had a interview with the store manager. He asked the same questions as the guy that interviewed me earlier. I was offered the job and was told it would be official after my drug test and background check. I am still waiting on them to call me with the results
