I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target
Interview
The interview was quite simple. It consisted of basic behavioral questions. However, they do prioritize juniors in their decision process, so please keep this in mind and save your time if you don't meet this requirement. The interview itself was decent.
HOWEVER, the Target recruiter herself needs to be replaced. I was told that I would receive an email from her after the interview within a week to update me on my status. She NEVER emailed me, and I had to learn that I was declined the position from another friend who got an email about the second interview. A couple days later, I went on my target careers account and saw the status was "no longer being considered for the position." I'm very frustrated that they did not clearly let me know what was going on with the interview process.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Target (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
After first applying online, there is a brief (15 minutes) phone interview with a recruiter, followed by an in-person interview with an area manager (30-60 minutes). The interview is behavioral-based questions, using the STAR method as usual, with emphasis on leadership an dcommunication. Be sure to explain why you want to work for Target, so do a little research. Of course, have a couple questions prepared.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Tucson, AZ) in Feb 2016
Interview
The woman interviewing was very nice and easy to talk to. I got the interview through a career fair at my school. A lot of the questions ask about leadership experience, they ask for examples as well. They also asked if I was open to relocate for the summer internship.
