I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Feb 2010
Interview
I turned in an application to the college recruiter on my campus around November and never got any response until mid January. The recruiter contacted me and set up a phone interview with me. Afterward the interview, another phone interview was arranged via email. After the 2nd phone interview, a 3rd and last in person interview was scheduled. I met up with the Regional Manager & Store Team Lead where both asked questions and wrote things down. After a week I was given a call and the offer was made.
Each of these interviews consisted of 5 behavioral questions.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Dayton, OH) in Dec 2009
Interview
Filled the application out online and was called for an interview. It was through career services at the college I graduated from, so there a bunch on one day. The HR rep sent an e-mail with the link for their IQ test and said to have it done before the interview. The questions involved basic math and some logic. The interview questions were behaviorally based as in "Tell me about a time when you...."
