I filled out an application online and was contacted 2 days later to schedule an interview at the store. My availability was confirmed over the phone, but that was all I was asked... I never had an actual phone interview. My interview was scheduled for a Wednesday, exactly one week after I had turned in my application. They set me up at one of the job kiosks to do an assessment. The assessment consisted of some scenario based questions asking how I would react in certain situations, as well as a few questions to test my skills for basic math. It was very easy. I was first interviewed by a team leader. He asked me some general questions about myself as well as some questions about situations I'd been in and how I had handled them. The questions were fairly simple, but you will be asked to provide specific examples, and they are looking for details! He then set me up to watch a video about Target that was several minutes long. You'll need to pay attention because the next person you interview with will ask questions that relate to the video. Next, I was interviewed by an individual who who had more authority than the team leader. He asked me 1 or two more situation questions (basically the same thing the team leader had covered but worded differently) and several questions about my personality and experience. He asked if I had any questions. I asked if he could tell me more about the machines that are used in the backroom of the store and he then took me back to show me what the back room was like and how things functioned. He then told me that if everything sounded good to me then he'd like to offer me the position. He led me to an HR person who explained that I needed to take a drug test within 24 hours and that It would take about a week. She said they would be contacting me for orientation once they got the results.
