I applied online and received a phone call maybe two weeks later, and had an interview the next day. I was asked to finish the applicant questionnaire which consisted of situation-type questions designed to see how I interact with co-workers as well as test my knowledge of simple math, like ratios, percentages, etc. I finished, and then waited around for my interviewer to see me, which turned out to be the first of two. The first asked me simple questions about why I wanted to work for Target, why I should be hired, and my work experience, of which I have none. She read every question out of a booklet and summarized my replies, which annoyed me a little. When I was called back I was not told which position I would be interviewed for, and since I had applied for t three different locations and positions, I was a little embarrassed to ask what I was being interviewed for. After that was done, I went on to my second interviewer, who I believe was the supervisor of some sort as he mentioned having two supervisors below him..
This one was much harder, and probably where I faltered the most. We went into a small office, where he asked me a few questions about myself (which I believe was him being polite, as he might've noticed I was a little nervous) and about where I was going to school. He was also text-messaging with another manager or supervisor, I'm not sure, but he apologized and I was not bothered by it. He asked me questions like: "Tell me about a time where you had to place the needs of others before your own" and "Tell me about a time you disagreed with a policy" and "Tell me about a time where you worked in a group" (That one I was expecting, the rest and all the other questions I struggled with as this was my first job interview.) After quite a few questions like those, he described the position and what would need to be done and some of the perks. Since I'm female -heavy set, but don't have much strength- I asked about the lifting and possible weight of some of the boxes, to which he replied that there are different roles and places to be assigned so I would not be expected to lift something beyond my abilities. After that, I was done and shook his hand and left. I did not receive a offer and later received an email stating they could not offer me a job.
