I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target in Jun 2012
Interview
This site was so incredibly helpful. I had a phone interview that I was preparing for. I had applied for a position on-line, but also had some internal help with bringing my resume to the appropriate recruiting team. My phone interview lasted about 45 minutes, much longer than I expected. I also didn't expect for it to be as in depth as it was, so BE PREPARED. I was asked at least 6 of the situational type questions that were listed out here on this site. Things like, how did you manage conflict, how did you deliver bad news, etc. I had acually written down all the different types of questions that were posted on this site and prepared answers to almost all of them and had specific situations in mind for each type of question. I would highly recommend doing this, even for a phone interview. I am still in the process of trying to find a position that will be a good fit, but I do feel like the phone interview went very well, mostly in part to the help from this site.

Explain a situation where you had to manage conflict.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Apr 2012
Interview
Initally had a phone interview and was passed on to an in-person interview about 1 week after. The in-person interview included an itinerary for the day. I had to meet with 4 different people, each interview lasting 30 minutes each. Target is big on SBO (situation, behavior, outcome) questions. They followed a specifc questionaire in a packet they had when asking interview questions. Once the interviews were over I had to take a skills/personality test, which took about an hour to complete. Overall, the experience was good. I interviewed well, but they hired someone internally. The questions I was asked were all on this website so my recommendation would be to study the questions and have some good power stories available.
