I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target in Sep 2014
Interview
I got an interview through my school's career fair. Before the interview I had to do an online logic and problem solving test. The interview itself was fairly straight forward. The standard questions about why you want to work there and your past experiences. I had trouble during the interview because I think it was clear that I was not particularly interested in the position. If you genuinely have an interest in retail and the company, I don't think the interview would be extremely difficult.

Question 1
Name a time when you failed that had a real impact on a project. How did you fix it.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Phoenix, AZ) in Jan 2013
Interview
Interview process was done by initially meeting with a campus recruiter. They would answer any questions you have and give you some ideas of what questions will be asked. They may first do a phone interview and then do an in person interview. The interview is set up by asking questions that are looking for an answer in the STAR format (situation, task, action, result). So make sure to have plenty of different stories to talk about that highlight your strengths.

The recruiter will give you all the questions that you will be asked so there was nothing that un expected.

Interview
First communicated with the company at a campus career fair, and scheduled an interview on the spot. The first interview was 2:1 and consisted of 4 behavioral questions. Was offered a second interview on the spot. The second interview was not nearly as good, and the interviewer was extremely unprofessional. The first thing he said was "I can't wait to retire in two weeks!" and proceeded to speed through the questions in barely over 10 minutes. Ultimately was not offered the position, but if I was, I would have declined it anyway after that terrible impression in the second interview.
